    Edward Jones Principal Matt Collins leads the firm's Securities Research team, which provides guidance on individual equity and fixed-income investments. His group also manages the firm's U.S. and Canadian Stock Focus Lists and Equity Income Buy Lists.

    Matt is a member of the Edward Jones Investment Policy Committee. This group utilizes the firm's investment philosophy to develop advice and guidance to support branch team efforts to help clients meet their long-term goals. He also serves on the Advisory Investment Committee, which provides oversight for Edward Jones Advisory Solutions, Bridge Builder Mutual Funds and the Edward Jones Money Market Fund.

    Matt began his career with Edward Jones in 1996 as an associate analyst in the Research department. In 1998, he began covering the automotive and machinery industries, and over the next 15 years he followed the broader industrial sector as a senior analyst. In 2014, he assumed leadership of the Equity Research area and was named Edward Jones principal.

    A native of St. Louis, Matt graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He also is a CFA® charterholder and member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Financial Analysts.

    Matt has been a televised guest on the “Nightly Business Report,” CNBC and Bloomberg TV, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and various other news publications.

    He and his wife, Kandace, enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors with their two children, Madison and Mason. Matt has especially enjoyed coaching their softball and baseball teams in his spare time.
