Ken Cella leads the Edward Jones Branch Development division, which shapes nearly every aspect of the financial advisor and branch office administrator roles. The division encompasses Financial Advisor Talent Acquisition, Branch Training, Branch and Region Development, Branch Insight and Learning Strategies, BOA Talent Acquisition and Development, and Branch Administration.

As a firm leader, Ken serves on the Enterprise Leadership Team, which is responsible for providing advice and counsel to the managing partner in helping the firm to grow its impact and create value for clients, colleagues and communities today and in the future.

Ken began his Edward Jones career in 1990 as a financial advisor in O’Fallon, Mo. He qualified to attend four Managing Partner’s Conferences.

In 2002, Ken was named a principal and relocated to the firm’s St. Louis headquarters, where he was charged with expanding the Edward Jones Trust Company. He proved to be a versatile leader, and over the next six years, Ken’s responsibilities grew to include mutual funds, insurance, banking and advisory products.

In 2012, he was asked to lead Branch Training, the area responsible for the professional development of financial advisors and branch office administrators. His experience as a financial advisor proved invaluable in this role, and in 2014, he assumed shared responsibility for the entire Branch Development division. He led the Client Strategies Group from August 2018 until January 2022.

Ken helps others realize their potential by serving as the senior executive sponsor of the Hispanic Business Resource Group. He also serves on the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Board of Directors and the Private Client Wealth Management Committee.

He is active in the St. Louis community and serves on the board of directors for Greater St. Louis, Inc., is board chair for Chamber STL, and serves on the executive committee for the University of Missouri-St. Louis Chancellor's Council and the Concordance Academy of Leadership Board of Directors.

Ken is a native of St. Louis, and he and his wife, Melissa, have three teenagers. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Securities Industry Institute and earned his undergraduate degree from University of Missouri-St. Louis and his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
