We understand that during times of uncertainty the last thing you want to worry about is how you can get in touch with your financial advisor. The good news is that our branch offices remain open for business virtually. You may not be used to connecting with your branch team virtually, but they are ready to answer your questions and help you with your financial needs.

Is my branch team in the office?

Yes. Unless directed otherwise by the firm or their local municipality, we encourage our financial advisors and branch office administrators to continue to work in their branch office to virtually support our clients and each other.

We are gradually reopening our offices to in-person meetings. Our reopening approach will be thoughtful, measured against data from health authorities, provincial and municipal guidelines, and the local health environment.

A final consideration, and one of the most important, will be the personal choice of your local branch team about when to reopen to the public. Please contact your local office to learn if they are receiving clients in person and what protocols they have put in place in light of COVID-19.

Throughout this process, our virtual meeting options remain in place to serve you.

How can I meet with my financial advisor while still practicing social distancing?

Virtual meetings via web conferencing can be done from your computer, tablet or mobile device - all you need is an internet connection. Your financial advisor can share information live from his or her system, just like you're in the office. If this is the first time you've participated in a web conference with your financial advisor, all you need to do is review the instructions and download the software. Then you're ready to go. If you have any trouble, give your branch team a call.

What if I'm not comfortable using the computer or web conferencing?

No worries. Your branch team is committed to answering your questions and helping you stay on track to meet your goals. As always, our branch teams are available to take your phone calls and are ready to help you with all your needs, including accessing your cash or making investment adjustments. If your branch team is on the phone helping other clients or is not in the office due to local restrictions, we will automatically connect you with someone else who can meet your needs. And if you're unable to reach them and need to place a trade, you may call our Client Relations line at (877) 370-2627.

Secure texting is another way to easily get in touch with your financial advisor's office to quickly communicate.

How can I check my Edward Jones account online?

Online access is available, providing you with around-the-clock access to your Edward Jones account, enabling you to see your investments and activity, transfer funds, sign documents electronically and more. You can also stay in touch with your financial advisor through secure messaging and view your statements and other account documents electronically.

How can I make deposits if I'm unable to come into the branch?

We encourage you to make deposits electronically if you are able (through electronic deposit (EFT), a bill payment through your banking institution or wire into the account). If you are not set up to do so, you may drop off a cheque at the front door of the branch office when the financial advisor or branch office administrator is present. You should only leave the cheque outside the door if you can see and acknowledge your financial advisor or branch office administrator.

Following any interaction in a public place, we recommend following the guidance of Health Canada for best practices to help protect your health. Take a look at steps to prevent illness. Please know we're also following these best practices.

What if I don't have a financial advisor?

We can help with that, too. It can be reassuring to partner with someone who will listen and understand what's important to you. And having someone help you make decisions during smooth and not-so-smooth situations can make a difference. Find a financial advisor who can help answer your important questions.
